QuestionFromAnswer

Were the O'Malley's a real family?

DaveThey were real to Jake, but no they didn't actually exist in history.

CierraAs odd as it may sound, I don't know the answer to your question. As I write, I follow the story line and leave the rest up to the imagination of the reader. So you get to decide!

Is this a true story?

AmyMost of the pioneer stories described in Journey of the Heart are true. With the exception of the O'Malley family, all of the pioneers Jake met were actual pioneers--including Annie. You can learn more about each of them through Jake's research notes which you can download at www.journeyoftheheartbook.com/notesdownload.

Are the people that portrayed Annie and Jake people you know?

TyleeWell I've never met Annie, but in a way I know her. She is my great, great grandma. So yes, I know her and hope that someday when I get to meet her she will forgive me for using her in a story. Jake is a fictional character.
