I purchased the book for a granddaughter who just experienced a 'pioneer trek', but read it first and thoroughly enjoyed it! Though it is written for young adults, it is a compelling, interesting, fast read for an adult with the added bonus of being faith-promoting for everyone. After reading it, I had a desire to re-read some of my own personal ancestor's stories. I am passing on and recommending this book to our whole family of readers, regardless of age.
